Community Garden Opens May 13

Community Garden Opens May 13

Wow, there are exciting plans in store for our garden this summer!  We have a new master gardener managing the community garden for us!  A young man named David Zimmerman studying to be an organic master gardener will be helping educate and work with our volunteers to help us have a productive harvest.  As in past years, Grace has 3 plots for planting our vegetables.

Interested in helping or just want to learn more about the garden and gain some new gardening how-to tips?   Come to the Community Garden meeting on Sunday, May 6 at 10:15 in the Library.

David will present and share his passion for, knowledge of and practical experience with organic gardening.  He will also help us develop a planting plan for our garden plots.

Please come and be co-creators with Christ while helping be the solution to hunger and poor nutrition in our community.  There will be tasks and opportunities for all ages, skill and ability levels.  Everyone is welcome and we need your help.

Please sign up on the RCR card this weekend or email:  Ellen Lichtfuss at [email protected]

Have you ever heard of Hugelkultur as a method for gardening?

Come to the meeting and find out!

When?  May 6, 10:15 am – Library
