The 2019 Practice Discipleship retreat is an opportunity for Young Adults in the Delaware-Maryland Synod to gather and practice our call to discipleship in a supportive, inclusive and sustainable community. One of our goals for this retreat is to wrestle with “Calling: Hearing and Responding to God’s Call.” We’ll ask questions like, “What does leadership look like in the church? How do we hear that call? What does that mean as we hear scripture and understand it? How can we be involved in the church NOW?” as you live into your calling as a disciple of Christ.
We realize that discipleship includes relationships, fellowship, and rest and retreat so please know how we can accommodate you –
We’ll play games and encourage you to bring your favorites!
We’ll eat together and encourage you to bring snacks to share!
We’ll have free time and encourage you to share your interests with us!
We’ll serve our community and encourage you to bring a servant’s heart!
We’ll gather in small group discussions!
We’ll worship and commune together!
Join Young Adults from across Delaware and Maryland at our annual retreat! This year the retreat is Friday, February 22 at 7 p.m. to Sunday, February 24 at 1 p.m. and will be held once again at Mar-Lu-Ridge “Ridge Inn,” 4341 Mountville Rd., Jefferson, MD 21755. The cost is $125/person but we ask college-age students to pay only $25 and working young adults to pay $50 or whatever they are able; Grace covers the remainder of the cost for everyone. Checks/Cash can be made out to “Grace Lutheran Church” and given to Leanne directly. Please do not let money be a barrier; financial assistance is available by speaking with Leanne. To register, please email [email protected], text (610.733.6354), or Facebook Message Leanne Elliott for the registration link by February 10 (Registration must then be completed online by February 15)!
