Last year, our synod hosted the first-ever elementary retreat and it was wonderful! This ministry is called 345 because it is intended for children in grades 3, 4, and 5! This retreat is a wonderful opportunity for families to begin dipping their toes into the world of youth events and retreats and, more importantly, to help their children develop their faith! This year, the retreat will take place on March 21-22 at the Ridge Inn located on Mar-Lu-Ridge’s property. Parents, as well as younger siblings*, are invited to attend but this is NOT required; children will be supervised by the LYO Elementary team and their adult leaders (*younger siblings will be asked to stay with parents for the parent track and not attend the kids track with their sibling). All day Saturday, participants will rotate through different stations to experience God through Bible study, games, arts and crafts, science, and service. On Sunday morning, we will join the middle school students participating in Transformers just up the mountain at the main camp for a combined interactive closing worship service. The parent track will happen as well on Saturday and will focus on how to create caring space for conversations at home. Rest and relaxation is also an important part of the weekend! The cost of the retreat is $100 per person with a family maximum of $250. If you would like to attend as a family or send your child but finances are an obstacle please contact Leanne Elliott directly.
