Each year, Grace helps a number of families in our congregation and community with gifts of food baskets at Thanksgiving and Christmas. These baskets are made up primarily of food given by the members and friends of Grace. During the month of November and the first half of December, we are asking for help by donating items that are needed. All donations can be dropped off in one of the Gathering Spaces.
Thanksgiving baskets include: small cans of gravy, sauerkraut, green beans, applesauce, cranberry sauce, and a small box of stuffing.
Christmas baskets include: small cans of green beans, corn, a box of instant potatoes or a can of sweet potatoes, and fresh fruit.
The Social Ministry Committee provides the meat and dessert.
We will need help in putting the baskets together and delivering them on Sunday, November 18 and Sunday, December 23. Please join us, if you can, in the Lower Gathering Space on these Sundays at 10:15 a.m. to help with the baskets. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
On Sunday, November 18 during the Education Hour, the Social Ministry Committee will be making Fair Trade baskets to sell for the holiday season. If you can help with this project, please join us the Lower Gathering Space at 10:15. We will be putting together the Thanksgiving baskets along with the Fair Trade baskets. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
