Pastor Kevin was born and raised on a farm in northwest Minnesota. In 1987 when Martha was called to serve as an assistant to the Bishop of the Southwestern Pennsylvania Synod of the ELCA, Kevin was called to serve as Pastor of the newly formed New Hope Lutheran Church.  During his tenure at New Hope, Kevin oversaw the construction of a new church facility; the development of one of the fastest growing congregations in the Southwestern Pennsylvania Synod.  In 1994 Pastor Kevin was called to serve Berkeley Hills Lutheran Church in the North Hills of Pittsburgh.  During his tenure at Berkeley Hills, Pastor Kevin helped the congregation reverse thirty years of declining membership, call a second pastor and begin a building expansion program.  Pastor Kevin served on the Board of Trustees for Thiel College and the Board of Lutheran SeniorLife, an agency that provides care for the elderly of Southwestern Pennsylvania.

Since December, 2007, Pastor Kevin has served as Co-Senior Pastor at Grace.  He works with the Stewardship, Property and Finance Committees and has primary responsibility for hospital visitation and Stephen Ministry.  Pastor Kevin teaches a men’s adult Bible Study at Johansson’s in Westminster and leads an adult Bible Study during the Christian Education hour.  Pastor Kevin serves on the Board of Trustees of Carroll Lutheran Village.
