Wednesdays, 10:30 AM and 5:30 PM in the Lower Gathering space.
Paul’s letter to the Romans is beloved and often quoted… but what is it, really? Many scholars believe that it’s one of the best and most complete early attempts at explaining: what do “we” (that is, followers of Jesus) believe about God? Martin Luther certainly thought so; he relied on Romans when he set out to explain how he thought the church should reform. In many and various ways, the theology of Romans has resonated throughout the history of the church. What “argument” is Romans making? And, does it make sense to us still today, enough to affect how we think, believe, and live?
Pastor Matt offers TWO time slots for this Bible study on Wednesdays: 10:30 AM and 5:30 PM. No previous experience with Romans necessary; bring a Bible if you wish, or borrow one from Grace. Join us when your schedule permits. “Therefore you have no excuse” is Romans chapter 2 verse 1, but it’s also a good reminder that studying the Bible is central to our life of Grace and faith!
