Available every Sunday in July at 10 AM

Attention parents: is your child ready to start participating in communion? The church welcomes all to Christ’s table, because Christ welcomes all! Whether a child is ready to participate in communion or not is a parent/guardian decision; traditionally the church set an age or stage for communion participation to begin, but we don’t do that anymore. Every child and every family is different, with different levels of understanding and different family traditions. It’s my personal belief that if a child can physically eat the wafer and is able to understand that they are loved by God, they are ready for communion!

If YOU think your child is ready to receive First Communion instruction, you’re invited to gather as a family with the pastors in the Lower Gathering space any Sunday in July at 10 AM. You can make an appointment by speaking to one of us, or you can just show up! The dates are July 6, July 13, July 20, July 27 (you only have to come to one!). If you have any questions about whether your child is ready for this important milestone, please reach out to Pastor Matt. Come and learn about our “family meal” at the communion table!
